Driven by Leadership. Defined by Laissa Sanchez.

At Honor GMC, everything starts with one belief: People deserve a better dealership experience.

That belief is brought to life every day by Managing Partner Laissa Sanchez, a nationally recognized automotive leader who has redefined what it means to lead in today’s industry.

As a first-generation daughter of Mexican immigrants and one of the few minority female dealership owners in the country, Laissa has built Honor GMC on a foundation of opportunity, representation, and results.

A Leader Who Earned Her Way

Laissa’s story did not begin in an executive office. It began on the showroom floor.

From sales associate to managing partner, she built her career through discipline, resilience, and a deep commitment to people. Over the course of more than a decade, she has consistently transformed dealerships into top-performing operations by focusing on trust, transparency, and relationships.

Her leadership has earned national recognition, including being named an Automotive News 40 Under 40 honoree and receiving the 2024 GM DE&I Award, an honor recognizing dealerships that demonstrate outstanding leadership in diversity, equity, inclusion, and creating opportunities for employees, customers, and the community. She has also helped Honor GMC become the #1 Volume GMC Dealer in San Diego County for three years in a row.

But what defines Laissa most is not recognition. It is impact.

Rooted in Community

For Laissa, success is measured not only by performance, but by the difference she makes in the lives of others.

Her connection to community is deeply personal. After her son’s battle with cancer and treatment through Children’s Hospital, Laissa made it a priority to give back to organizations that support families facing similar challenges. That commitment continues today through ongoing involvement and advocacy.

As a proud Latina leader, she is equally passionate about creating opportunities for others. She actively supports initiatives that empower women and minorities, serving as both a mentor and a visible example of what is possible in an industry where representation has historically been limited.

Over the years, Laissa has supported organizations and causes including Girl Scouts of Colorado entrepreneurship programs, Habitat for Humanity, Children’s Hospital vehicle donations, foster children initiatives, school district mentorship programs, Courage Classic, local toy drives, holiday sponsorships, and military family support efforts. She has also remained active in community events such as Trunk or Treat programs, Parade of Lights sponsorships, and outreach efforts supporting local families and first responders.

Laissa and the Honor GMC team also remain committed to supporting military families and local heroes through sponsorships, outreach efforts, and community involvement that recognize those who serve.

Leadership That Delivers

Under Laissa’s leadership, Honor GMC has quickly become one of the top-performing GMC dealerships in the region. The dealership has achieved significant growth in a short period of time while building a culture centered around accountability and customer experience. From modernizing the digital buying experience to strengthening in-store processes, every improvement reflects her commitment to making car buying simpler, faster, and more transparent.

Laissa’s leadership style is built around creating a team culture that is inclusive, motivated, and focused on excellence. She is deeply involved in both the customer experience and the long-term development of the people around her, helping to create a dealership environment that reflects her values of hard work, service, and integrity.

Built on Partnership

Supporting that vision is Managing Partner Garan Godfrey, an experienced automotive executive with nearly two decades of leadership across multiple markets.

Garan is known for transforming dealership operations, developing high-performing teams, and implementing customer-first strategies that drive sustainable growth. His operational expertise has played a critical role in elevating Honor GMC to its current position as a market leader.

Throughout his career, Garan has earned recognition for both performance and customer satisfaction, including Dealer of the Year honors, Consumer Satisfaction Awards, President’s Awards, Mark of Excellence recognition, and helping lead dealerships to top sales rankings across multiple brands and markets.

His leadership style is centered around accountability, transparency, employee development, and a customer-first approach. Together, Laissa and Garan have built a dealership grounded in shared values: integrity, accountability, and an unwavering focus on the customer.

More Than a Dealership

Honor GMC is more than a place to purchase a vehicle.

It is a reflection of leadership that values people, a team committed to its community, and a dealership experience designed around transparency and care.

Whether you are shopping for your next vehicle or servicing your current one, you can expect an experience that puts you first every step of the way.
